MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411007035 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'adjustable pipe bending device.'
Inventor(s) include Priyanka Sood; Dr. Vinay Bhatia; Dr. Amresh Kumar; Shivansh; Shrestha Pratap Singh; Sidhi Sinha; and Ankit Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable pipe bending device, comprising a telescopic frame 1 attached with a handle 4 which is gripped by user, an ultrasonic sensor detects height of user and accordingly frame 1 extends/retract for providing comfort to user in accessing frame 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit installed on frame 1 which evaluates 3D mapping of workpiece that is displayed on a touch interactive display panel 5 mapped on frame 1 for allowing user to specify angle of bend of workpiece, a telescopically operated L-shaped tine 7 attached with frame 1 which extend to get engaged underneath workpiece, an electromagnetic strip arranged on tine 7 for securing workpiece with tine 7, a motorized pivot joint 8 coupled between member 6 and frame 1 which provides movement to member 6 in synchronization with retraction of a hydraulic actuator 9 arranged between second portion 3 to bend workpiece."
