MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004405 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'adjustable pipe cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Garima Thakur.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable pipe cleaning device includes a body 1 mounted with an imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images of surroundings that are displayed over a display panel 3 accessed by user for selecting length of a pipe to be cleaned, accordingly multiple wheels 4 moves body 1 in proximity to user-specified length of pipe, a bar 5 extends/retracts for positioning attached clamping unit 6 in proximity to pipe, clamping unit 6 is integrated with a sensing module 7 for determining material of pipe and presence of dust and corrosion on pipe, a speaker 8 produces audio notification to attach a sheet stored in chamber 9, onto a roller 10 integrated on clamping unit 6, two links 11 integrated between clamping unit 6 and roller 10 extend/retract to position roller 10 in contact with pipe, roller 10 rotates for rubbing sheet against pipe to clean pipe till user-specified length."
