MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013538 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adjustable sleeping assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable sleeping assistive device, comprises an elongated frame 1 worn by a user on head, a looped strap 2 coiled on a motorized roller 3 integrated on the frame 1 to comfortably affix the frame 1 on the user's eyes, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on the frame 1 for monitoring distance in between the user's eyes and frame 1, plurality of plates 4 are arranged on the frame 1 by means of multiple motorized hinges 5 to prevent disturbance to the user from surrounding light, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 to determine presence of person/object, a haptic unit for producing vibrating sensations, a timer for monitoring time duration, a pair of Peltier units arranged on the frame 1 to heat/cool the plates 4, a microphone 7 for monitoring intensity of sound, and a pair of flaps 8 arranged on a motorized hinge joint 9 for covering ear."
