MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010393 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'adjustable storage device for beverage containers.'

Inventor(s) include Rachna Manchanda; Dr. Mohit Srivastava; Ashutosh Maurya; Balram Kumar; and Mohit Saini.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable storage device for beverage containers comprises of a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 each incorporating a motorized wheel 3 for providing movement, an adjustable multi-sectioned rack 4 arranged on the platform 1 for accommodating beverage containers, a cushioned member crafted on the rack 4 for preventing jerk, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 to determine size of the container, a motorized sliding arrangement 7 integrated within the rack 4 for adjusting size of the rack 4, a sensing module mapped on the platform 1 for detecting motion, a gimbal arrangement 9 coupled between the support link 5 and rack 4 for eliminating movement of the rack 4, a laser sensor installed on the rack 4 for detecting placement of containers, and multiple motorized clamps 8 arranged on the rack 4 for gripping the containers."
