MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019281 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable table drawer handling device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable table drawer handling device includes an frame 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3 installed on a front portion of a drawer and side portion of a table, via two suction cups 4 arranged on first and second portions 2, 3, respectively, a microphone 5 receives user's voice input regarding opening and closing of drawer, for opening of drawer, an microcontroller actuates frame 1 for extending to opening drawer and allow user to place any object inside drawer, an imaging unit 6 captures and processes images of object based on which the microcontroller evaluates size and dimension of object and accordingly directs extension of the frame 1 for opening drawer with appropriate space to accommodate object, a weight sensor 7 detects weight of accommodated object, in case of exceeded weight than a threshold limit, a speaker 8 generates voice commands regarding exceeded weight."
