MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012934 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'adjustable tap handle operating device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable tap handle operating device, comprises of a cylindrical shaped body 1 developed to be positioned on a tap handle, an opening 2 for accommodating the body 1 on the handle, multiple T-shaped telescopic pushers 3 for gripping the handle, an imaging unit 4 for capturing images of the surroundings, multiple motorized hinge joint 5 for adjusting the position of the pushers 3, a microphone 6 to input commands regarding opening/closing of tap, an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 7 for positioning a suction cup 9, a suction cup 9 for affixing the body 1 on a fixed surface, a motorized ball and socket joint 8 for providing rotatory movement to the body 1, a robotic link 10 for positioning a perforated sheet 11 in front of water flowing out of the tap, and a perforated sheet 11 for decreasing the flow of dispensed water."
