MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018893 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable umbrella holding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable umbrella holding device, comprises of body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface for accommodating multiple umbrella, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the body 1 to determine dimensions of a umbrella positioned in proximity to the body 1 and facial features of the user, motorized iris lids 3 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers arranged on top portion of the body 1 to get opened for accommodating the umbrella, clamping units 5 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers arranged at base of the body 1 to acquire a grip over tip of the umbrella, air blowers 6 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers integrated within the body 1 to blow air for drying the umbrella, and a touch interactive display panel 7 arranged on the body 1 for displaying evaluated billing amount in form of a QR (quick response) code."
