MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019356 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable underground sewage pipe cutting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an adjustable underground sewage pipe cutting device, comprising a telescopic frame 1 having a first and second portion, wherein a handle 2 is attached with first portion to be held by a user, an ultrasonic sensor installed on frame 1 for detecting user's height, a first expandable cylindrical shaped body 3 attached with second portion to be placed inside an underground sewage, a first expandable pulley arrangement 11 configured within body 3 to increase/decrease diameter of body 3, multiple L-shaped telescopic pins arranged underneath the body 3 to grip a pipe, a display panel 4 mapped on frame 1 for enabling user's input details, a telescopic bar 5 suspended from body 3 to position a circular blade 6 attached with bar 5 at user specified length and a second expandable pulley arrangement 7 configured within the blade 6 for expanding in accordance with pipe's diameter."
