MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013495 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adjustable utensil cleaning assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable utensil cleaning assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 accessed by a user for accommodating multiple washed utensils, plurality of suction units 2 for affixing the platform 1 on the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing and processing multiple images in the vicinity of the platform 1, an expandable disc 4 for accommodating the detected utensils, a color sensor for detecting the presence of any debris on the utensils, a speaker 5 to produce audio notification, plurality of perforations 6 for allowing the water to seep from the utensils, a chamber 7 to collect the seeped water from the utensils, plurality of extendable plates 8 to form a boundary around the expandable disc 4, a curved flap 9 to prevent accumulation of dust/dirt on the utensils, an air blower 10 to dry the utensils."
