MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013281 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adjustable vehicle evacuation device.'
Inventor(s) include Aman Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable vehicle evacuation device comprises of a cylindrical shaped body 1 developed to be installed on a bumper of a vehicle, a laser sensor for detecting dimension of bumper, a pair of inverted L-shaped telescopic bars 2 to position C-shaped clamp 3 over bumper, a touch sensor for detecting placement of clamp 3 on bumper, a motorized hinge joint for closing to secure clamp 3 on bumper, an imaging unit 4 for determining presence of any anchoring point, a motorized spool 5 for rotating on its axis to unwind a rope 6 wrapped around spool 5, a chamber 7 for storing various straps where after unwinding of rope 6, the user is required to grip and engage strap around anchoring point in order to secure rope 6 with anchoring point followed by actuation of spool 5 for winding rope 6 in order to pull out vehicle out of surface."
