MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018848 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable water fetching device for well.'
Inventor(s) include Vishnu Prasad Shrivastava.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable water fetching device for well, comprising a T-shaped frame 1 having a fixed primary member and two extendable secondary members be mounted on inner walls of well by multiple suction cups 2, a microphone 3 accessed by user to feed commands for extracting water from well, a motorized winch 4 rotates to unwind a rope 5 and deploy a bucket 6 inside well which is detected by a gyroscopic sensor, a motorized lid 7 assembled on a cavity crafted on bucket 6 for exposing cavity for filling water inside bucket 6 whose level is monitored by a level sensor installed inside bucket 6 and if level matches with a threshold limit, then winch 4 winds rope 5 for lifting the filled bucket 6, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 8 determines height of user and a telescopic link 9 extends to lift bucket 6 towards user."
