MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019294 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable watering device for plants.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sriom; and Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable watering device for plants comprises of a circular shaped hollow frame 1 installed around a base portion of a plant, an opening 2 for accommodating plant while positioned on a ground surface, multiple T-shaped telescopic rods 3 for providing support to frame 1 on surface, a chamber 4 for storing water, multiple electronic nozzles 5 coupled with chamber 4 for dispensing water on surface to maintain moisture level of surface, multiple hinge joints 6 for opening a lid 7 in order to expose opening of frame 1 that aids in collection of rain inside frame 1, an imaging unit 8 for determining infection of any disease to plant, an electronic valve 9 coupled with a container 10 for dispensing a pesticide solution on plant to treat infection, a color sensor for detecting accumulation of algae inside frame 1 and multiple motorized brushes for rotating to clean algae."
