MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024065 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adjustable wood-carving assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjeev Kumar; and Poonam Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable wood-carving assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface via multiple suction cups 2, a rectangular slot 3 for enabling a user to accommodate a wooden-log on slot 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines dimensions of log, a drawer arrangement extend/retract for properly accommodating wooden-log on slot 3, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by user to provide input specifications regarding a user-desired wooden-pieces, plurality of motorized guiding wheels 6 provide translation to log towards one end of platform 1, a laser projection unit project laser beams depicting particular portion as per user-specified pieces, a first 8 and second hydraulic actuators 7 arranged on platform 1 to deploy a circular structure 9 configuring multiple blades and followed by translation of wood-log through circular structure 9 to exert an appropriate pressure on log via blades for cutting log."
