MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019391 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable wooden bangle cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable wooden bangle cutting device, comprises of a circular platform 1 that is manually positioned on a wooden workpiece, a suction cup 3 attached with the rod 2 for affixing with the surface of the workpiece, a speaker 4 to notify the user regarding the low quality of the workpiece, an inverted L-shaped telescopic link 6 for positioning an inverted U-shaped cutter 7 for cutting the workpiece, a motorized sliding arrangement 8 for rotating the link 6, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 for capturing images of the bangle, a robotic gripper 10 for gripping and extracting the bangle, a robotic link 11 configured with an abrasive sheet 12 for smoothening the bangle, an air blower 13 for removing the wood dust, and a motorized slider 14 for altering the size of the cutter 7."
