MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088503 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 23, 2023, for 'adjustable writing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Nidhi Saraswat.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable writing assistive device, comprising a cylindrical frame 1 engaged on a writing tool, frame 1 is mapped with an ultrasonic sensor for determining dimensions of tool, plurality of telescopically operated links 2 integrated within frame 1 for acquiring a grip on the tool, wherein a gear rack 3 is arranged on inner periphery of the frame 1 for adjusting the frame 1 at an appropriate length, plurality of pores 4 fabricated on frame 1 and each integrated with an inflatable air bags which are inflated for aiding a user to comfortably hold frame 1 using a tripod grasp, a microphone 5 integrated on frame 1 for receiving voice commands of user regarding movement of frame 1 over tool or inflation/deflation of the bags."
