MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088279 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'aerial package delivery system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An aerial package delivery system, includes a body 1 integrated with multiple propellers 2 to launch body 1 in air as per command of an microcontroller, a first computing unit 3 linked with microcontroller via communication module accessed by a user to input various location(s) for delivering packages, multiple containers 5 stored with different packages to be delivered, multiple imaging units 6 determines obstacle in surroundings and accordingly microcontroller diverts route of body 1, a second computing unit 7 installed with a user-interface accessed by receiver(s) for approving landing of body 1, a display-panel 8 accessed by receiver to input hash code that is verified, in case of cash mode, a box 9 crafted with an opening 10 for inserting currency which is authenticated by an image capturing module 11 installed within box 9, a lid 12 associated with a particular container 5 opens for allowing receiver to receive package."
