MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611025905 A) filed by CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab, on March 5, for 'ai-driven dynamic portion control system based on daily bmr variations.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An AI-enabled dynamic portion recommendation system comprising Wearable and Physiological Data Acquisition Module (101), Dynamic Daily BMR Computation Engine (102), AI Portion Prediction Engine (103), Meal Imaging and Portion Verification Module (104), Portion Compliance and Evaluation Unit (105), User Interface with AR or Smart Plate Visual Guidance (106), and Adaptive Reinforcement Learning Repository (107) is disclosed. The system computes recalculated daily basal metabolic rate using physiological parameters and determines meal portion size prior to consumption. Image-based meal verification compares detected portion with predicted portion and generates visual compliance guidance. Reinforcement updating modifies portion prediction based on metabolic feedback. The architecture integrates sensing hardware, processing unit and adaptive learning mechanism to enable dynamic daily portion control."
