MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641019256 A) filed by Chaitanya Bharathi Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Feb. 19, for 'ai-driven quadrant-wise occupancy iot system for intelligent indoor load automation.'

Inventor(s) include Goru, Mallikharjuna Rao; and Tummala, Aravinda Babu.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides an artificial intelligence-enabled automation system for quadrant-wise control of physical electrical loads within an indoor space. A vision sensing module captures continuous video data representing real-world occupancy conditions. A processing unit executes deep learning-based human detection algorithms to identify occupants and map them to predefined physical quadrants using spatial coordinate analysis. An IoT control module selectively activates or deactivates electrical loads associated with occupied quadrants through relay and motor control units. A delay-based switching mechanism prevents rapid toggling caused by transient absence, thereby improving relay operational stability. A communication subsystem enables real-time bidirectional data exchange and closed-loop confirmation of load activation. The system achieves region-specific physical load control and reduces energy consumption in indoor environments."
