MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517076750 A) filed by Joyson Safety Systems Japan G. K.; and Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Shiga, Japan, on Aug. 12, for 'airbag device and saddle-riding type vehicle with airbag device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: an airbag device that has improved mounting compatibility with vehicle models and is capable of coming into contact with an occupant quickly; and a saddle-riding type vehicle with the airbag device. An airbag device 10 comprises a folded airbag 40 and an inflator14 for supplying inflation gas to the airbag 40, and is disposed at the center of a handle 4 of a saddle-riding type vehicle. In an inflated and deployed state of the airbag 40, the airbag 40 is curved so that a center portion in the left-right direction is toward the rear side of the vehicle."
