MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517066522 A) filed by Fortier, Stephane, Seugy, France, on July 11, for 'airliner device with internal baggage transfer and method for using same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The bulky luggage of passengers on a commercial flight sometimes gets misplaced or lost after it has been checked in and processed by airport services. To solve this, the invention relates to an airliner (1) which has a passenger region (2) and a cargo region (3) that are interconnected by an inclined ramp (4) which is provided with a motorised (6) conveyor belt (5) for transferring the bulky luggage (9) in a constant stream, during boarding, from the passenger region (2) to the cargo region (3) and, during disembarkation, from the cargo region (3) to the passenger region (2), thus allowing the passengers (8) to deposit their own luggage (9) in the cargo hold (3) of the aeroplane (1) they are taking. The invention is intended to provide airline operators with aeroplanes that offer the absolute guarantee of carrying out commercial flights without losing luggage."
