MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025527 A) filed by Moodlakatte Institute Of Technology, Kundapura, Karnataka, on March 4, for 'airspace risk-scoring system combining ads-b traffic data and rf-based uav detection for collision prevention and threat mitigation.'

Inventor(s) include Indra Vijay Singh; Dileep K; K Sarjan; and Mr. Amresh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Airspace Risk-Scoring System Combining ADS-B Traffic Data and RF-Based UAV Detection for Collision Prevention and Threat Mitigation A system and method for generating real-time predictive collision and threat risk assessment in shared airspace are disclosed. The system comprises an ADS-B receiver module configured to receive and decode cooperative aircraft telemetry and an RF-based UAV detection module configured to detect non-cooperative unmanned aerial vehicle communication signals and estimate positional and motion data. A processor executes a data fusion engine to temporally synchronize and spatially normalize aircraft and UAV data into unified object state vectors. A predictive state estimation module computes future trajectories over a defined time horizon, and a risk scoring processor calculates a dynamic risk index based on predicted trajectory convergence, minimum projected separation distance, and relative velocity. Graded alerts are generated when predefined thresholds are exceeded, enabling unified real-time airspace risk assessment."
