MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124866 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'alveolar ridge-supported removable dental prosthesis affixing system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An alveolar ridge-supported removable dental prosthesis affixing system, comprises of a denture base 101 mountable over an alveolar ridge to receive one or more dentures, a clamping assembly 102 is provided at a buccal side of the denture base 101 and is biased to apply a retaining force against ridge surfaces to affix the denture base 101 in position, an actuator 105 is disposed to bias the clamping assembly 102 to cause a pair of outwardly-biased arms 103 to extend toward the alveolar ridge for secure fixation, a chamber 104 is installed within the denture base 101 to house the actuator 105 components, a spring 105a positioned within the chamber 104 provides biasing force, and a cap 105b configured for manual depression enables controlled engagement and disengagement of the clamping assembly 102."
