MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541024225 A) filed by M. Geethavani, Ananthapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, on March 18, for 'amino acid conjugated chalcones as anti-cancer agents.'

Inventor(s) include M. Geethavani; Y. Navya Reddy; K. V. Lalitha; G. T. Roopesh; and V. Sreedhar.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses amino acid conjugated chalcones of general formula (I) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof as anti-cancer agents and the process for preparation thereof. The chalcones of the present invention are derived from paracetamol that combines the safety of paracetamol with therapeutic potential of chalcones which is hitherto not practiced in the art."
