MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441009967 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'an acoustic generating system and method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Balaganesh Selvarajan; and Suthapalli Akhil Sri Harsha.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present subject matter is related to an acoustic generating system (100) in combination with an emulator unit (200) configured to provide an artificial acoustic for a vehicle (204). The 5 acoustic generating system (100) and emulator unit (200) comprises control units (104, 202) configured to receive one or more audio file (300), segment the one or more audio files (300) into a plurality of audio segments (302) and modify each audio segment (302) to emulate vehicle characteristics such as vehicle speed, vehicle throttle, vehicle leaning characteristics and vehicle braking characteristics. The present subject matter additionally provides method 10 (500)for generating acoustics for the vehicle. The present subject matter intends to provide acollision avoidance system for pedestrians and other road users where the vehicle (204) sounds are below perceivable levels."
