MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018205 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'an adhesive tape storage and dispensing device.'
Inventor(s) include Amit Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adhesive tape storage and dispensing device comprises of a circular shaped frame 1 associated with device developed to be positioned on a user desired finger, a laser sensor for detecting diameter of user's finger, an iris lid 2 for gripping user's finger in a secured manner, a motorized circular ring 3 for allowing user to manually position adhesive tape over ring 3, ultrasonic sensor integrated within ring 3 for determining diameter of tape, drawer arrangement configured within ring 3 for expanding ring 3, a microphone 4 installed on frame 1 for allowing user to provide command regarding length of tape required, a speaker 5 to direct user to hold one end of tape, an infrared sensor integrated on frame 1 detects length of unroll tape, a telescopic blade 6 installed on frame 1 to expand and cut tape securely."
