MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441010385 A) filed by Titan Company Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'an adjustable jewellery article.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. R. Suresh Kumar; Dr. Laxmidhar Biswal; and Mr. Mariappan D.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable jewellery article (100), having a composite shank (102) defined with a top portion (104) and a bottom portion (105) coupled to each other. Further, a first arcuate portion (105a) and a second arcuate portion (105b) defined on the bottom portion (105) are movably connected. The top portion (104) is defined with at least one projection (106) and the bottom portion (105) is defined with at least one provision (107) to couple the top portion (104) and the bottom portion (105). Further, a slot (112) defined in the first arcuate portion (105a) and a protrusion (114) defined in the second arcuate portion (105b) which is movably disposed within the slot (112). The second arcuate portion (105b) is selectively displaced with respect to the first arcuate portion (105a) to adjust an internal diameter (d) of the adjustable jewellery article (100)."
