MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311085945 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 15, 2023, for 'an adjustable shelf assembly in a refrigerator.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable shelf assembly (100) in a refrigerator is provided. The adjustable shelf assembly (100) includes a plurality of shelves (106) for receiving and sustaining loads in a door (102) of the refrigerator, a guide rail assembly to facilitate a vertical movement of the plurality of shelves (106) and a hinge assembly to pivot the plurality of shelves (106). Further, the hinge assembly facilitates in pivoting the plurality of shelves (106) away from the refrigerator door (102), after pivoting, the guide rail assembly facilitates in sliding the plurality of shelves (106) in the vertical movement, the guide rail assembly and the hinge assembly move simultaneously to adjust height of the plurality of shelves (106) in the refrigerator."
