MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521088182 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Sept. 16, 2025, for 'an aerial vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Anand Parey; Krishna Mohan Kumar; Kartik Madhukar Patil; and Devesh Mishra.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates aerial vehicle (100) comprising a body (110), a plurality of arms (120) extending from the body (110), a plurality of drive units (130) disposed on the plurality of arms (120), and a plurality of propeller blades 5 (140) operatively coupled to the corresponding drive unit of the plurality of drive units (130). The plurality of drive units (130) being configured to rotate the plurality of propeller blades (140) to generate thrust force. Each of the plurality of propeller blades (140) includes a trailing edge (140b), a plurality of primary serrations (142) extending rearwardly from at least a portion of the trailing edge (140b). The at least 10 one primary serration (142) includes at least a pair of secondary serrations (144) formed thereon. The plurality of primary serrations (142) and the pair of secondary serrations (144) being configured to reduce aerodynamic noise during operation of the aerial vehicle (100)."
