Inventor(s) include Amrapali Prakash Tribhuvan; and Dr Padmapani Prakash Tribhuvan.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an AI-augmented system and method for the digital preservation, restoration, and immersive interaction with cultural heritage sites. The system integrates photogrammetry-based 3D reconstruction, image stitching, and artificial intelligence-driven mural restoration using deep learning models such as GANs. High-resolution visuals are projected into seamless 360-degree virtual environments using cylindrical mapping and Laplacian blending. A virtual reality interface enables exploration through multilingual, narration-supported tours. User engagement is further enhanced via sentiment-aware feedback analysis powered by natural language processing models like BERT. Machine learning classifiers are employed to evaluate user responses and dynamically adjust content delivery. The system supports deployment on desktop, mobile, and VR headsets, making it adaptable and scalable across multiple heritage applications. It offers a unified platform for education, tourism, and conservation, digitally safeguarding cultural artifacts while offering personalized and accessible experiences."
