MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049681 A) filed by Anurag University, Hyderabad, Telangana, on April 18, for 'an ai-driven smart energy optimization system for intelligent building energy management.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Purnachary Munigadapa; Dr. Ravinder Reddy Bukkasamudram; Mr. Dasu Vaman Ravi Prasad; Mr E. Radha Krishnaiah; and Dr. Gunda Vishnu Murthy.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an AI-driven smart energy optimization system for intelligent building energy management. The system comprises a data acquisition module configured to collect real-time energy and environmental data from IoT-based sensors, a preprocessing module for data filtering and normalization, and a machine learning-based prediction engine for forecasting energy consumption (108). An optimization engine (110) determines efficient operational strategies for energy-consuming devices, while a control module regulates back peration (122) accordingly. A communication module enables data exchange between system components, and a feedback learning (124) module continuously updates the prediction models based on system performance. The system operates in a closed-loop framework to dynamically monitor, predict, and optimize energy usage, thereby improving energy efficiency and reducing operational costs in residential, commercial, and industrial environments."
