MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421004084 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited, Maharashtra, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'an air vent assembly for a vehicle and a system for redirecting air flow thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Santosh Ghorpade; Suresh Tadigadapa; Akash Manoji; and Atul Ugale.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure discloses an air vent assembly (100) for a vehicle (200). The air vent assembly comprises a body (102) defined with at least one first vent (104) along a portion of the body. At least one base member (106) is fixedly mounted on the body and defined with at least one second vent. The at least one second vent is aligned with the at least one first vent for allowing air flow. At least one flow regulator (110) is movably mounted on the at least one base member. The at least one flow regulator is defined with a plurality of openings (112) for controlling the air flow. The at least one flow regulator is operated to selectively adjust a position of the plurality of openings with respect to the at least one first vent and the at least one second vent to direct the air flow in various directions."
