MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311082847 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 5, 2023, for 'an apparatus for holding a wiring harness.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus (100) for holding a wiring harness (130) is disclosed. The apparatus (100) can include a channel (110) for supporting and holding at least a portion of the wiring harness (130) within the apparatus (100) and at least two base clips (120) for fixing at least a portion of the apparatus (100) onto a portion of a rigid structure (140). The apparatus (100) can further comprise a plurality of jaws (111) forming the channel (110) such that each jaw among plurality of jaws (111) comprise a notch (111c) formed by a set of arms (111a, 111b) such that at least the portion of the wiring harness (130) is inserted and passed through the notch (111c). The apparatus (100) can be bent and locked in a plurality of positions corresponding to the shape of the rigid structure and the wiring harness (130)."
