MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421016401 A) filed by Higgsfleet Innovations Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 7, 2024, for 'an apparatus for manufacturing coils with uniform cross section area.'

Inventor(s) include Nandan Ravindra Gite; and Amar Ravindra Gite.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for manufacturing coils of uniform cross section area. The apparatus (100) may comprise a platform (102), a first blade (104) and parallel kink blade (106) elevated over the platform, and a block mount (108) positioned between said blades upon which a metal block (112) is clamped. The kink blade (106) may have distinct first (106a), second (106b), and third cutting edges (106c). A sliding mechanism (110) may translate the block mount (108) and metal block (112) towards the first blade (104) thereby making parallel first partial cuts (116), and further slide the components towards second blade (106) for a second set of partial cuts (118) joining adjacent first cuts to form coil turns (122) of uniform area. Cut depths and elevations governed through an elevation mechanism (114) and controller may enable consistently sized coil turns."
