MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311080429 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Nov. 27, 2023, for 'an apparatus for mounting a head up display unit in a vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus (100) for mounting a head up display (HUD) unit in a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus (100) can include at least one mounting arm (110) to be attached on a front cross beam (120) of the vehicle. The at least one mounting arm (110) also includes an elongated arm structure (112) for accommodating the head up display unit. The elongated arm structure (112) can also comprise a plurality of upper stiffener arms (112a) and a plurality of lower stiffener arms (112b) for securing the head up display unit onto the apparatus (100). The apparatus (100) further comprises a fastening portion (114) for providing secure attachment of the apparatus (100) onto the front cross beam (120) of the vehicle. The apparatus (100) enables rigid mounting of the head up display unit such that the head up display unit is unaffected by the NVH problems of the vehicle."
