MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010567 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 31, for 'an apparatus for windshield cleaning using a pneumatic nozzle bar.'
Inventor(s) include Swarangi Marathe; Pravar Thakur; Vishal Patel; Vivek Singh; Yash Bhosale; Dr. Nitin Solke; and Dr. Anirban Sur.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a pneumatic windshield wiper apparatus (100) configured to clean a windshield (106) using a high-velocity air stream. The apparatus includes a nozzle bar (102) mounted near the upper region of the windshield (106) by a mounting bracket (104). Compressed air is generated by an air compressor (114) and delivered through an auxiliary air line (110) to a pressure regulator (112), which stabilizes the airflow supplied to the nozzle bar (102) through a pneumatic pipe (108). When actuated, the nozzle bar (102) emits a uniform air sheet directed across the windshield (106) to remove or deflect rainwater, dust, or debris. The apparatus provides a non-contact, aerodynamically driven cleaning method capable of maintaining visibility under varying environmental conditions."
