The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An AR/VR enabled immersive environment for remote telephonic healthcare consultation is the proposed invention. In recent years, telemedicine has become a vital component of modern healthcare, particularly for remote consultations where physical access to medical facilities is limited. However, traditional telephonic consultations often suffer from a lack of contextual awareness, limited interactivity, and the absence of visual cues critical for effective diagnosis and communication. To address these limitations, this paper proposes an immersive, AR/VR-enabled environment for remote telephonic healthcare consultations. The system leverages extended reality (XR) technologies to simulate physical presence, enhance non-verbal communication, and provide interactive access to medical data and anatomical models during remote interactions. The proposed solution integrates real-time voice communication with spatially mapped visual interfaces, allowing doctors and patients to interact through virtual avatars, view and manipulate 3D health records, and engage in naturalistic consultations from remote locations."
