MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087805 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'an arrangement for filtering lint particles in a dryer.'

Inventor(s) include Hatwalne Makrand Milind; and Ghungarde Vikas Sajan.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An arrangement (102) for filtering lint particles in a dryer (104) is provided. The arrangement (102) includes a lint filter assembly (202, 204) to trap the lint particles, a storage drawer (206) to receive and collect the trapped lint particles from the lint filter assembly (202, 204) and a pump (208) to spray water over the lint filter assembly (202, 204) via a nozzle. During a drying cycle, hot air with lint particles flows through the lint filter assembly (202, 204), condensed water stored in a sump (210) is prayed over the lint filter assembly (202, 204) by the pump (208) to form a lint lump, the lint lump is collected in the storage drawer (206) and the condensed water is channeled back to the sump (210)."
