Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'An Arrangement For Improving The Drying Performance Of A Washing Machine' Filed by Lg Electronics Inc.

MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087008 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 19, 2023, for 'an arrangement for improving the drying performance of a washing machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[0034] An arrangement (200) for improving the drying performance of a washing machine (100) is provided. The arrangement (200) includes a tub (106) configured to operate in a spin mode for drying the laundered clothes, and a safety cover (104) employed to enclose the laundered clothes within the tub (106) in the drying mode. Further, the safety cover (104) includes an impeller (204) provided within the safety cover (104) to rotate in tandem with the tub (106). During spin mode, the tub (106) rotates to dry the laundered clothes and the safety cover (104) placed inside the tub (106) rotates with tub (106) thereby rotating the impeller (204) of the safety cover (104), the impeller (204) draws air from the from the top of the safety cover (104) and propels it over the laundered clothes to improve the drying performance by reducing the time taken to dry the laundered clothes."
