MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311082460 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 4, 2023, for 'an article holder.'
Inventor(s) include Dinesh Pawar; and Michael Steigerwald.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An article holder (100) includes a hollow housing (102) with open top, a first ring (104) coaxially fastened to upper end of the housing (102), a second ring (106) rotatably configured within the housing (102), and a plurality of telescopic elements (112) connecting the first ring (104) and the second ring (106) and biased by a biasing element (108) such that upon moving the second ring (106) to a first position, the telescopic elements (112) extend perpendicularly between the first ring (104) and the second ring (106), and upon moving the second ring (106) to a second position, the telescopic elements (112) make predefined angle from the first ring (104) and the second ring (102) while extending at least partially across cavity of the housing (102). The telescopic elements (112) extend between the first position and the second position based on diameter of the article secured within the housing (102)."
