MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087804 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'an assembly for cleaning interior and exterior of footwear.'
Inventor(s) include Modh Parth Kiritkumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An assembly (100) for cleaning interior and exterior of footwear is provided. The assembly (100) includes a nozzle assembly (102) with at least one nozzle (104) to dispense steam inside a cavity, a sensing means (106) to detect distance between the nozzle assembly (102) and surface of the footwear, an actuating assembly (300) facilitating movement of the nozzle assembly (102). Based on the distance detected by the sensing means (106), the actuating assembly (300) automatically move the nozzle assembly (102) in a horizontal direction along the footwear and the nozzle (104) in a vertical direction up to the surface of the footwear to dispense the steam in the interior and exterior parts of the footwear thereby cleaning the inside and outside of the footwear."
