MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421094118 A) filed by Aituring Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Nov. 30, 2024, for 'an auto-tracking remote controlled weapon station.'

The station includes an optical unit housed in an enclosure (8), with a thermal sensor (10) and day sensor (12) for day and night vision capabilities, a camera unit (14) for real-time visual tracking, and a laser range finder (16) for precise distance measurement. The system features an L-shaped mounting platform (18) equipped with a battery unit for powering the components, and an ammunition unit (20) with an automated reloading mechanism. The weapon is operated via a gun barrel (22) with a trigger unit (24), along with a magazine assembly (26) and a bolt assembly (28) for efficient ammunition handling.
