MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421015052 A) filed by Instamake Technology Private Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat, on Feb. 29, 2024, for 'an automatic cooking apparatus for flat bread.'

Inventor(s) include Pithava, Nimesh Navalbhai; Pithava, Sagarbhai Navalbhai; Oza, Jaymin Manoharbhai; Gosaliya, Meet Bharatbhai; and Sudhir, Sanandan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic cooking apparatus 100 for cooking flat bread/Roti/Chapati includes a dispensing section 110 for storing and dispensing ingredients into a kneading section 120. The kneading section 120 mixes the ingredients and prepares a ball of dough for making the Roti. A deflector 130 transfers the dough ball to a hot press 140. The hot press 140 shapes the dough into a flat Roti. The deflector 130 further transfers the flat Roti to a cooking section 150. The cooking section 150 cooks Roti using a flipper and Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) flame/IR heating coil, and dispenses out a puffed Roti to a user."
