MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013012 A) filed by K. Ramakrishnan College Of Engineering, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'an automatic honey harvesting and cleaning system.'
Inventor(s) include R. Suswin Ganesh; S. Rajagoapalan; and Subramaniya Siva A.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an automatic honey harvesting and cleaning system. The automatic system comprises a circular rack (70) consists of eight rack, wherein the racks are having displacement about 45 degree which is used for honey storage. The honey saving tank is provided to store the excerpted honey from the Honey bower. The horizontal rack is configured for bee production/food purpose which consists of an automatic deposited wax cleaning system. The shielding sheet (62) acts as the protective cover serves to safeguard against the elements. The wax scalper (54) employed for dividing sealed wax to extract honey from the Honey bower (52) utilizes a cutting mechanism based on the bolt and nut method. The smoker (55) is configured to reduce the aggression of the bees when the user collecting the honey. The circular ring (71) configured to create a pivotal role in the Honey bower's (52) operational mechanism for facilitating the rotation of the entire circular rack. The automatic system will increase the productivity in an effective manner without the need of skilled labours and more time consumption."
