MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541060814 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on June 25, for 'an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).'

Inventor(s) include Aayush Jha; Shramon Banerjee; and Bhisham Kumar Dhurandher.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (100) is disclosed. The autonomous UAV (100) may include a main body (110), one or more propellers (120) and a seed dispenser assembly (130) operatively coupled with the main body (110). The main body (110) may further include a set of fins (112-1, 112-2) placed on the opposite sides of the main body (110) of the autonomous UAV (100), and each fin among the set of fins (112-1, 112-2) include a curved surface (114a) and a linear surface (114b) opposed to the curved surface (114a). The one or more propellers (120) may be operatively positioned into corresponding one or more propeller holes (122) arranged on each fin among the set of fins (112-1, 112-2) for propelling the autonomous UAV (100) in a desired manner. The may be utilized for a targeted seed distribution for a target terrain."
