MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544039717 A) filed by Valeo Power Technology (NANJING) Co. Ltd., Jiangsu, China, on April 25, for 'an electric vehicle active discharge hardware logic protection circuit.'
Inventor(s) include Hailong Zhou; Nan Wu; Jiangbo Ding; Jiafeng Zhang; Qingfeng Chen; and Xiaobin Hu.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a discharge protection circuit that includes a control circuit with an output terminal, a first input terminal, a second input terminal and a third input terminal. The output terminal connects to a discharge circuit, outputting a control signal to for discharge. A time-out switch-off circuit detects if a bus voltage of the discharge circuit is lower than a reference voltage when discharge has been performed for a predetermined time, and output a first electrical signal; an overcurrent latching circuit, wherein the overcurrent latching circuit is configured to detect whether overcurrent has occurred in the discharge circuit, and output a second electrical signal; the first input terminal and second input terminal of the control circuit respectively receive the first electrical signal and the second electrical signal, and the third input terminal of the control circuit receives a discharge enable signal."
