MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421003966 A) filed by Tork Motors Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'an electronic control system for electric vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Shelke, Kapil; Khade, Sushant; Mahatekar, Anup; Kalugade, Vishal; and Chaurasia, Dhiraj.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein a power control system for electric vehicle, comprises of a battery mounting assembly (7) mounted on to rear downside (6) along width and on to a chassis of the electric vehicle, wherein the battery mounting assembly (7) is designed to house pluralities of battery units and configured to allow their swapping as required, and an electronic control unit (ECU) (2) directly mounted on to the battery mounting assembly (7) of the vehicle, wherein the directly mounted ECU (2) on the battery mounting assembly (7) is connected to a battery junction box (10) integrated with the battery mounting assembly (7) and configured to minimize wire harnessing in power supply connections with various equipment of the vehicle. The structure of the power control system (1) is maintenance friendly and designed to avoid structural alteration in the vehicle design."
