MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441023325 A) filed by Hinustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on March 25, 2024, for 'an electronic system for fly-by wire (fbw) sensor connectivity detection and indication (fcdiu).'

Inventor(s) include D. Amaranadha Reddy; and Poojari P. K.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An Electronic system for Fly-by wire (FBW) sensor connectivity detection and indication (FCDIU) is an Airborne system and is built in' 5 hardware using discrete components. FCDIU detects the connectivity status of 4-sub connectors of 7 FBW sensor cables, and indicates the serviceability of the FBW sensors as a part of FBW initiated Built-In1Test (BIT), before take OFF on the face panel of FCDIU, by glowing 7 green LEDs. If 4 sub connectors 'of atleast one FBW sensor are 10 disconnected orthe FBW BIT Fails or the FCDIU BIT fails, then FCDIU glows a Red lamp in the cockpit for GO or No-Go decision by the Pilot."
