According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system (100) for emergency signal-responsive traffic control. The system (100) includes a sound detection unit (102), a processing unit (104), a relay control unit (106), and a traffic light (108). The sound detection unit (102) is configured to capture an audio signal from an approaching vehicle. The processing unit (104) is coupled to the sound detection unit (102) and is configured to analyze the audio signal to determine whether the audio signal corresponds to a predefined siren pattern of an emergency vehicle. The relay control unit (106) is coupled to the processing unit (104) and is configured to modify a state of the traffic light (108) based on the determination. The processing unit (104) activates the relay control unit (106) to switch the traffic light (108) to a green signal for the emergency vehicle upon positive identification of the predefined siren pattern. The system (100) ensures timely passage for emergency vehicles."
