MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087380 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'an energy optimized refrigeration cycle apparatus for a refrigerator.'
Inventor(s) include Pandey Badrish; and Redij Manas Manoj.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A refrigeration cycle apparatus in a refrigerator is provided. The refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a variable frequency compressor for compressing a refrigerant, the compressor being a part of the refrigeration cycle apparatus, a fan to circulate cold air into different compartments in the refrigerator and a control unit to regulate the operating frequency of the compressor. Further, the control unit varies the frequency of the compressor based on its operation, in a single operation cycle for cooling the refrigeration compartment, the control unit operates the compressor in a lower frequency range and for the cooling the freezer compartment the control unit operates the compressor in a higher frequency range."
