MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321078062 A) filed by Rupesh Santosh Pawar, Nanded, Maharashtra, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'an esterified fat composition and a process thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An esterified fatty acid composition a process thereof The present disclosure relates to relates to an esterified fatty acid composition a process thereof. The composition comprising an interesterified triglyceride; and natural oil, characterized for phase stability and speadability. The fatty acids are selected from oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid, and are interesterified up to 45%. The natural oil and vegetable oil are independently selected from the saturated, unsaturated and medium chain (C12) triglycerides, particularly selected from castor oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, almond oil, palm oil, tung oil, and a mixture thereof. The composition is an alternative to cocoa butter and silicon oil, and bridge the gap between demand and supply of the fatty acids globally."
